Textile conservator and weaver Mary Walker will speak on “Trends in Contemporary Navajo Weaving” at the Colorado Arts & Crafts Society’s Winter Symposium. An expert on the work of the Navajo, Walker will focus on historic artisans and textiles, as well as exciting new developments by contemporary artists. She also will lead a weaving workshop during the day; space is limited. All events will be held at the Boettcher Mansion in Golden, Colorado.
