Home and cottage plans in the Craftsman style. See traditional craftsmanship in their online gallery.
Our Craftsman Style homes and cottages were designed as a tribute to the Craftsman homes inspired by architects Charles and Henry Greene at the beginning of the 1900’s. Their designs included simple bungalows which were widely publicized in thehousing and architectural catalogs of the day. Low pitched, gabled roofs with wide overhangs and decorative brackets made these designs easy to recognize. Usually a veranda graced the front elevations, supported by stone or brick piers. The most common wall cladding were wood clapboard and wood shingles.
While keeping the aesthetic of the craftsman exterior, we have designed our floor plans to be more conducive to life today. The original arts and crafts homes were often very dark and had numerous distinctly separate rooms resulting in many interior doors. Our floor plans show open interior spaces, abundant natural lighting, sleeping lofts, screen porches while still embracing the timeless craftsman style detailing. We offer a variety of plans, each plan also available in a number of different sizes.
